Plumsted:
We Cannot Allow the Current Administration to
|
| bring in 1,000 to 2,000 new residents to our town | |
| cause a dramatic increase in the number of cars and traffic on our streets | |
| strain our already taxed infrastructure—fire, emergency response, etc. to the very limit | |
| ultimately increase our property taxes and make Plumsted unaffordable for many of us | |
| change the rural character of our community FOREVER |
The argument my opponent and his administration make “for” this plan is that the developer will “grant” sewers to our downtown.
This proposed redevelopment is no “grant.” It is selling out our town and rural our way of life.
The Failed Legacy of the Current Administration!
The current administration, headed by my opponent and in power for over 15 years, has:
Failed to bring in clean (environmentally friendly) “ratable”
business to our town that will:

Failed to bring in quality infrastructure to our town

| Failed-to halt-year increases in local property taxes |
|
|
|

Increase in actual taxes on an existing Plumsted home |
Increase in municipal taxes only. |
He’ll Preserve
Our Environment & Rural Character
We should NOT sell
out our town to big developers! This will change our community forever.
He’ll Revitalize
Downtown With Grants, Not Through Over Development
Other townships in
NJ have successfully revitalized their downtowns and built their infrastructure
(such as sewers) through grant monies. This has been done in towns like
Freehold, Red Bank, and
Swedesboro. Why not
here?
He’ll Restore
Accountability to our Local Government
The current
administration has been in power for over 15 years—a group of local “good ‘ol
boys and gals” who have run virtually unopposed. This is not healthy. And this
is not a democracy. We need fresh views and new blood. I am a local
businessman who has been in business for over 25 years. I do not depend on
political patronage for a job or my business.
I am asking you, for the future
of our town, to come out on Election Day,
November 8th, and vote for me, Mitch Geier.
